In Lobatse, Chief magistrate Mareledi Dipate today convicted a 41 year old man of Moshupa village Michael Moitato for stealing goods worth 19 thousand Pula at a supermarket in Goodhope village last year.

Moitato broke into Tesco Investments (PTY) Ltd on September 11, 2014 and stole cash and goods which included canned beef, cigarettes, airtime vouchers and sim cards.

Dipate said it was not disputed that the shop was broken into and that the goods were stolen.

He said the accused person was not consistent in giving evidence and insisted that he was innocent; but the state case was strong to be believed.
