The IEC too busy to attend the EVM panel discussion

The electoral commission will not be taking part in tonight’s panel discussion on the controversial EVMs, organised by the Botswana Council of NGOs together with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

BOCONGO Executive director Botho Seboko told Gabz FM news that the IEC turned down the invitation because of a busy schedule.

He said BOCONGO even proposed to postpone the panel discussion to accommodate the IEC, but were later informed that the IEC will not participate in the dialogue.

The panel discussion titled the introduction of Electronic Voting Machines in Botswana –Political Reflections and Practical issues will be attended by political party representatives, the media and experts.
