Lucas launches early campaign to fight for Bobonong constituency

Wednesday, 19 April, 2017 - 12:30

Former senior BCP official, Taolo Lucas, who narrowly lost the Bobonong parliamentary seat to Shaw Kgathi of the BDP, in the 2014 general elections, has launched an early campaign to wrestle the constituency from the ruling party in 2019.

Lucas told Gabz FM news that he decided to concentrate on Tesetsebjwe this past Easter weekend, because the village was key in the BCP loss in 2014.

He pointed out that while he lost the constituency by a paltry 120 votes, the margin in Tsetsebjwe was more than 500.
Lucas, with the help of party activists held two rallies in the village and went on a house to house campaign.

He said they managed to register more than one hundred new members. Lucas further explained that he will intensify his campaign in villages outside Bobonong in the coming months, with an emphasis on Tsetsebjwe, as it is the largest village in Bobirwa after Bobonong.
