Union calls on BCL workers to punish Masisi

Thursday, 20 October, 2016 - 12:45

Botswana Mine Workers Union President, Jack Tlhagale, has called on former BCL employees, to punish Vice President Mokgweetsi Masisi, for misleading the nation about the closure of the BCL Mine.

Addressing workers yesterday at a rally called by Public Sector Unions Federation, BOFEPUSU, Tlhagale said the Vice President has proved that he cannot be trusted with running the country, as he has repeatedly lied about the BCL problems and its closure.

He said Masisi lied at a BDP political rally last weekend, saying that most BCL employees have accepted the demise of the mine.

Tlhagale warned that the mining sector was in deep trouble as there is a growing trend of mine closures.
