Zim illegal immigrant pleads guilty to unlawful possession of elephant tusks

A 48 year old Zimbabwean illegal immigrant, Ronald Mujaji has pleaded guilty to the unlawful possession of elephant tusks.

Mujaji was arrested by the police at Francistown Nzano shopping complex in January this year and upon searching his motor vehicle, they found fragmented elephant tusks weighing over a kilogram.

Mujaji also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a fake Professional Driving Permit, PRDP and also entering Botswana through an un-gazetted point of entry.

He will be back in court on the 28th of this month where the state is expected to file his previous convictions.
