Calls are growing for action against alleged illegal tourism facilities operating in the NG32 concession in the Okavango Delta.

Speaking during a stakeholder engagement between Tawana Land Board and the North West District Council, Bojanala Ward Councillor Monopane Namanga urged authorities to crack down on operators occupying land without approval.

Namanga argued that if action is taken against illegal settlers in residential areas, the same standards should apply to unlawful tourism developments in the Delta.
