Molepolole Magistrate Court has recorded four threat-to-kill cases involving men who appeared before court following incidents reported during the festive season and the first two weeks of 2026.
Thirty-five-year-old Oatsi Rabasele, a soldier based at Thebapatswa Air Base, is accused of threatening to kill the mother of his child. Although the complainant applied to withdraw the case, Principal Magistrate Solomon Setshedi dismissed the request and granted the accused bail with strict conditions. He will return to court on March 16.
In another matter, 44-year-old Lesego Ntloyamodimo remains in custody after allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend. The court rejected a withdrawal application, citing the complainant’s fear for her life. He appears again on February 26.
Meanwhile, 28-year-old Pono Setsola was granted conditional bail after allegedly threatening to kill his girlfriend, while 38-year-old Lebogang Ithuteng remains remanded for threatening his mother.
All matters are pending before court.
