PRESIDENT BOKO ANNOUNCES TARGETED RESHUFFLE, CREATES NEW EDUCATION ROLE.

Article By: Diana Motsu

President Duma Boko has announced a targeted reshuffle within his cabinet, which includes the creation of a new position of Assistant Minister for Child Welfare and Basic Education.

The President made this announcement earlier today during his address at the Botswana Examination Council's 15th Annual Excellence Awards.

According to Boko, the new role will be filled by a minister from the Ministry of Higher Education.

He noted that this reshuffle aims to further enhance the government’s efforts in prioritizing child welfare and improving the quality of basic education across the country.

Boko explained that the introduction of this position is designed to address key challenges related to early education and the well-being of children, particularly at the foundational level.
