Farmers in Xhoo settlement near Maun, are rejecting the Lemang Dijo programme, blaming repeated elephant raids that destroy crops before harvest.
The farmers say ploughing has become pointless, as elephants regularly invade fields, leaving families with no produce despite good rains.
They accuse the Department of Wildlife and National Parks of failing to respond to crop destruction reports and warn the situation is worsening food insecurity.
Farmers have appealed to Maun West MP Caterpillar Hikuama to intervene.
