Statistics Botswana shows the rate has risen from 25.1 percent a decade ago, highlighting the continued challenge of getting young Batswana into work.

Some graduates say they remain unemployed despite completing their studies and face difficulties accessing government programmes.

The Ministry of Youth’s Public Relations Officer Kristian Mmusi says government has plans to tackle unemployment and create more opportunities.
