
Article By: Laone Molelo The Bank of Botswana has announced that the country's foreign exchange reserves have significantly improved, reaching P63.2 billion between 2023 and early this year.
Director of Financial Markets Lesego Moseki, yesterday stated that the reserves increased by 16.8 percent in 2023 after facing challenges in previous years. Moseki emphasized the need for policies to further grow the reserves.
He also noted that the current reserves can cover more than eight months of imports, highlighting the importance of maintaining and enhancing this economic buffer.
