CIPA DEADLINE PASSES AS NON-COMPLIANT COMPANIES FACE REMOVAL

Article By: Shingirai Madondo Companies that failed to submit their constitutions to CIPA are facing removal from the company register, following the expiry of the extended September 30 deadline.
The removal of some companies has already raised complaints from owners over the compliance process, including the cost of submitting their constitutions.
But CIPA says there will be no further extension, with non-compliant companies now at risk of being removed from the register in line with the law.
Ministry of Trade and Entrepreneurship Public Relations Officer Ndiyane Sekgopa says compliance is critical to maintaining integrity in Botswana’s business environment.
