The Department of Meteorological Services has warned of possible flash floods across Botswana, with rains expected to persist until Friday.

Widespread thundershowers are forecast over the Kgalagadi District, while scattered storms are likely in the Southern, Southeast, Kgatleng, and Kweneng areas. The public is urged to stay alert, especially in flood-prone zones.

Meanwhile, dam levels across the country are nearly full, with Gaborone Dam at 98.7% and others such as Bokaa and Nnywane exceeding capacity.

Water Utilities Corporation is urging caution near dams after recent drowning incidents.
