BOTSWANA & CHINA DEEPEN HEALTH AND EDUCATION COOPERATION

Article By: Rorisang Mogojwe Botswana and China are strengthening cooperation in healthcare and education under a new comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Giving an update on his State Visit to China, President Duma Boko said the commitments include deploying Chinese medical teams to Botswana, supplying medical equipment and medicines, and expanding partnerships between hospitals.

The two countries will also deepen cooperation in specialist healthcare, medical technology and professional training.

In education, Boko said China has committed to continuing government scholarships and expanding training opportunities for Botswana’s students and professionals.
