Prominent businessman Nicholas Zakhem and former Gantsi North MP John Thiite are facing charges over alleged fraud linked to a P272 million Tutume Infrastructure tender under the Economic Stimulus Programme.

The duo is expected to appear before the Broadhurst Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, 15 October, alongside their co-accused.

The DCEC alleges the tender bid involved forged references and an unauthorised bank letter. It further alleges that Thiite’s company was used to front for Zakhem’s firm, which did not meet the tender’s citizen ownership requirements.
