Botswana Vaccine Institute (BVI) is preparing to deliver the remaining 400,000 doses of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccine to South Africa by the end of the month.
This follows a shipment of 500,000 doses delivered in late June, fulfilling a 900,000-dose order placed by the South African government to curb the ongoing FMD outbreak affecting cloven-hoofed animals.
Speaking to Gabz FM News, BVI CEO Andrew Madeswi said the institute remains committed to supporting regional disease control efforts.
