CHILDLINE BOTSWANA HAS RAISED CONCERNS OVER THE ESCALATING INCIDENTS OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN

In an interview with GABZ FM News, Childline Botswana spokesperson Gaone Chepete appealed to the public to promptly report any instances of violations to authorities.

Chepete also expressed concern about the increasing exposure of the identities of violated children, especially on social media platforms, emphasising the heightened risk of long-term harm.

Chepete’s remarks come against the background of a recent incident in which a 59 year man allegedly defiled a 13 year old girl, after reaching an agreement with the child’s mother.
