FRANCISTOWN COUNCILLORS BACK CONSTITUTIONAL COURT

Article by: Shingirai Madondo

Francistown councillors have welcomed government’s plan to establish a Constitutional Court, describing it as a step toward improved access to justice.

The UDC government says the proposed court will handle constitutional matters, making it easier for citizens to challenge laws they believe are unconstitutional.

Councillors say the move will strengthen democracy and bring constitutional justice closer to the people.
