Acting President Moeti Mohwasa has called for greater accountability in government service delivery as Botswana prepares for National Development Plan 12.
Speaking during district consultations, Mohwasa urged leaders to focus on projects that directly benefit communities and close the gap between rich and poor.
He noted that past development plans had fallen short and stressed the need for inclusive, results-driven planning.
North West District Council Chairperson Itumeleng Kelebetseng echoed the call, urging central government to let councils benefit from local resource royalties to improve service delivery.
