Lekgwapheng Police in Molepololole are investigating four defilement cases reported during the festive and ploughing season, sparking concern over child safety in the area.
In an exclusive interview with Gabz FM News, Assistant Superintendent Akimo Mlazie said the incidents appear to follow a seasonal pattern, noting that some parents leave children unattended while working in ploughing fields, increasing their vulnerability to abuse.
Mlazie confirmed that the cases were recorded between December 24, 2025, and January 5, 2026 a span of just 13 days.
