LETLHAKANE TAXI DRIVER ATTACKED AND ROBBED BY FAKE PASSENGERS

Police in Letlhakane are investigating a robbery in which a taxi driver was attacked by two men posing as passengers.
According to Station Commander Meshack Maphephu, the suspects boarded the taxi at the Letlhakane bus rank, claiming they were headed to Phase 1. Upon arrival, they tied up the driver with a rope, stole the vehicle, and fled with P300 in cash.
Maphephu revealed that this is the third such incident reported in the area since last year.
He urged taxi drivers to remain cautious when picking up passengers, especially at night, as investigations into the case continue.
