Concerned residents in Maun are calling for a rehabilitation centre to tackle the growing link between drug abuse and mental illness among youth.
Speaking at a Kgotla meeting, Boseja Umbrella VDC Chairperson Kegomoditswe Ndulamo urged the Assistant Minister of Health to act, saying more young people are falling into AN addiction and mental health crises.
Ndulamo also called for more clinics in Maun to operate 24 hours, saying Maun General Hospital is overwhelmed by patient numbers.
