Multichoice Botswana has urged local filmmakers to take advantage of the Multichoice Talent Factory (MTF), a regional training programme aimed at developing emerging talent in the film and television industry.
Speaking to Gabz FM News, Marketing and Communications Manager Thembi Legwaila addressed concerns about the programme’s selection process, following speculation that placements were being awarded based on personal connections.
Legwaila dismissed these claims, insisting that admission is strictly merit-based. She said the assumption of bias often overshadows the programme’s commitment to fairness and excellence.
She encouraged aspiring filmmakers to apply, noting that the MTF provides valuable training, industry exposure, and opportunities for growth across the continent.
