NKANGE MP CALLS FOR CLOSURE OF JOHN NSWAZWI Junior Secondary School (JSS)

Member of Parliament for Nkange constituency Motlhaleemang Moalosi, has called for the immediate closure of John Nswazwi Junior Secondary School in Marapong village.

In an open letter to the Minister of Child Welfare and Basic Education, Moalosi highlights severe overcrowding, lack of electricity, and unsafe sanitation at the school’s boarding facilities. He says dormitories are overcrowded, lack doors and windows, and students are forced to live in conditions that threaten their health and safety.

Moalosi warns that these conditions amount to a humanitarian crisis, violating child welfare laws, public health regulations, and constitutional protections against inhumane treatment. He is urging the Ministry to relocate students to safe accommodation and launch an urgent investigation into the situation.
