President Duma Gideon Boko has ordered the immediate revitalization of Princess Marina Hospital in Gaborone.

The President conducted a surprise inspection at the facility, witnessing firsthand deteriorating infrastructure, shortages of medical supplies, and critical gaps in emergency and life-support equipment. Sources say these conditions have compromised patient care and public confidence in the hospital.

During the visit, Boko interacted with staff and patients, expressing concern over the state of operations and describing the situation as unacceptable. He directed authorities to fast-track procurement of emergency equipment and ensure urgent interventions to stabilize service delivery.

He further pledged a concerted effort towards a comprehensive revitalization of Princess Marina Hospital within the year, aiming to modernize the facility with advanced technology, adequate staffing, and reliable medical supplies to meet national and international healthcare standards.
