Residents in Gaborone and surrounding areas are raising concerns over noise pollution caused by overnight church services and bush churches.
Communities in places like Block 6, Mogoditshane, and Metsimotlhabe have reported loud preaching, amplified music, and gatherings in open spaces, which they say are disturbing their sleep and disrupting neighbourhood peace.
Some residents say these disturbances, often stretching late into the night, are disrupting the peace, affecting schoolchildren’s rest, and raising concerns about public health and safety.
Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Retired Major General Pius Mokgware, joins on the other side of the news to give comment on possible regulatory measures.
