TRANS-KGALAGADI RAIL PROJECT SET TO BOOST REGIONAL CONNECTIVITY

Ghanzi District is expected to benefit from the proposed Trans-Kgalagadi railway project, aimed at linking Botswana with Namibia and strengthening regional trade.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure says the project is currently at the feasibility stage and forms part of a broader Southern African transport corridor connecting Botswana to countries including Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi.

Once implemented, the railway is expected to stimulate economic activity and unlock development opportunities in Ghanzi.
