Botswana Defence Force (BDF) soldier Moagi Mokomeng, accused of a deadly attack in Kgomokasitwa, is set to appear in court today after the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) added more charges to his case.
Mokomeng now faces nine charges, including three counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, arson, and malicious damage to property.
Initially, he was charged with six offenses following the fatal February 25 attack, but further police investigations led to additional charges.
In a previous court appearance, State Prosecutor Modibedi Tladi stated that Mokomeng is accused of killing Elizabeth, Alefha, and Katlego Ramolala, attempting to murder two others, and setting a house on fire.
Mokomeng has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to return to court today.
