Newly elected Botswana National Front (BNF) Women League President, Monica Molome has denied allegations implicating her husband, businessman Enerst Molome, in vote-buying and intimidating election board members.
Speaking at a BNFWL press conference today, Molome dismissed the accusations raised by disgruntled presidential candidate Katlego Morolong, as baseless, stating there’s been no hostility since her victory.
Morolong was unavailable for comment at the time of broadcast.
Molome however acknowledged a backlog in issuing BNF membership cards and revealed that the National Executive Board allowed elections to proceed without them.
