Choppies Retail Partial in Gaborone has suspended several workers after a Gaborone City Council raid uncovered unsanitary conditions and staff without valid medical certificates.

Authorities destroyed unsafe food and cited violations of public health laws. A Choppies employee told Gabz FM News the bakery remains open and claimed some workers had valid certificates but couldn’t present them in time.

Choppies management has not yet issued a comment on this at the time of broadcast
