With the Easter long weekend in full swing, Botswana’s immigration authorities continue to tighten border security to manage crowds and prevent illegal crossings.

Chief Immigration Administrator Tshepiso Makgoeng-Godiraone told Gabz FM News that officers are on high alert for human and child smuggling.

Extra officers have been deployed at major entry points, including Grobler’s Bridge and Kopfontein. Travellers are urged to carry valid documents and follow immigration rules.
