Gaborone Bus Rank Developer Pushes Forward with Takeover Plans

The developer behind the Gaborone Bus Rank redevelopment, Silver Pack Investments, has dismissed claims that it plans to disrupt bus services or block access roads.

Silver Pack’s attorney, Paul Muzimo, refuted reports suggesting that construction would begin on January 1st, calling them misleading. He emphasized that the company’s intentions are not to harm the livelihoods of bus operators or interfere with their businesses.

However, the Lobatse High Court has since issued a temporary order halting the redevelopment, siding with bus operators who argue the project threatens their livelihoods and lacked proper consultation. The dispute began on November 5, 2025, and the case is still under legal review as both sides await a final decision.
