The recent outbreak of malaria in the Francistown region and surrounding areas has raised significant concerns among residents, prompting calls for immediate action to prevent further spread of the disease.
Speaking to Gabz FM, locals called for stronger public awareness campaigns and consistent mosquito control measures, including the distribution of bed nets and the clearing of stagnant water.
Nyangwagwe Referral Hospital PRO Keekae Majeremane confirmed no fatalities so far and said public education is ongoing in affected communities.
Health authorities are urging continued vigilance and community cooperation to contain the outbreak.
