POLICE ARREST MURDER SUSPECT AFTER 15 YEARS ON THE RUN

Francistown police have arrested a murder suspect who had been on the run for 15 years.

The 41-year-old man from Moroka village , is linked to a murder that allegedly took place at Satellite Bar in Francistown in October 2009, where a Zimbabwean national was killed.

Police say Wafila evaded arrest when other suspects were committed to the High Court in 2013. 

He was arrested on Friday at Moroka village while attending his mother’s funeral, after investigators established he had been living and working in Phitsane Molopo.

He has been remanded in custody and is expected to be committed to the High Court on February 23.
