Political analyst Keaoleboga Dipogiso says citizens have the right to hold government accountable through the social contract, not political parties.
Speaking on Gabz FM Breakfast in HD, Dipogiso explained that the social contract exists between the government and the people, and not between voters and political parties.
He said election manifestos do not create binding agreements, describing them as ideas that exist in theory rather than enforceable contracts.
Furthermore Dipogiso stressed that accountability begins after a government is formed, when it assumes responsibility to deliver on the needs and expectations of citizens.
