TOURISM PITSO RETURNS AFTER 13-YEAR BREAK

The 2026 Tourism Pitso kick started this morning in Francistown, marking its return after a 13-year hiatus.

The last Pitso was held in 2013, after which the forum stalled amid strained relations between government and the private tourism sector.

The revival of the Pitso is seen as a renewed effort to rebuild collaboration and reset Botswana’s tourism strategy.
