TRIPLE MURDER SUSPECT MOAGI MOKOMENG DENIED BAIL

Article By: Moagi Mokomeng Lance Corporal Moagi Mokomeng, the prime suspect in the Kgomokasitwa triple murder case, was denied bail when he appeared before the Lobatse Magistrate’s Court this morning. He faces six charges, including three counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of arson.

Mokomeng is accused of killing Elizabeth Mosadinyana Ramolala, Katlego Ramolala, and Aretha Lelentle Ramolala. He also allegedly attempted to murder Happy Ramolala and Sergeant Thabo Dibotelo. Prosecutors indicated that additional charges could be filed as investigations continue.

Lead investigator Assistant Commissioner Detective Alakanani Raymond David strongly opposed Mokomeng’s bail application, citing the early stage of the investigation. He also highlighted that the suspect had been out on bail for a defilement case at the time of the alleged murders. Notably, one of the victims, Elizabeth Mosadinyana Ramolala, was a key witness in that case.

Mokomeng has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to reappear in court on March 17.
